How you can help
Thank you for your interest in helping War Child Australia

Raising funds and awareness

War Child Australia is a small, all-volunteer operation. Our major objectives are to raise awareness of War Child's work around the world, and to raise funds for War Child field projects. As such, the main thing we need from interested and supportive people like you is $$! That money might take the form of a donation from your own pocket, or you might be able to raise some funds for us. You can also shop to help War Child, by purchasing any of the books and CDs whose royalties are donated to War Child.

Our wish list

If you would like to donate or raise funds for a specific purpose, here are a couple of suggestions:

  • We have recently purchased 5000 stickers to supply to schools who raise funds for us, at a cost of $250. If you donate to cover the cost of these, $250 more of our general funds can be directed to field projects.
  • In the Democratic Republic of Congo, around $1300 will buy books for one year for one of our children's centres in Kinshasa.
  • In the Democratic Republic of Congo, around $3500 will build a kitchen at one of our children's centres in Kinshasa.
  • In Afghanistan, $3800 (around $3000 USD) will fund the development of a year-long legal support programme for children in conflict with the law.

Please talk to us about additional opportunities.
