Hand in Hand is a CD of "fantastic fun and happy songs for children". Released
in October 2004, the CD has 28 tracks, and is available from CD stores and
the website of Shock Records (RRP $24.95).
All the songs have been donated by the artists, and $5 from every purchase
is donated to War Child.
The money raised will be spent on War Child projects in Iraq, for as long

to emerging needs. Work is currently being done to set up drop-in centres for
vulnerable children, and to provide support and resources for youth centres
in Basra and Nasiriyah.

Rolf Harris, John Farnham, and more!

McCartney, Avril Lavigne, David Bowie, New Order, Ronan Keating,
Blue's Lee Ryan, Travis and George Michael – have contributed
exclusive new tracks to Hope, released on Monday May 12th
2003 to help the child victims of the war in Iraq. "Whatever
the politics, whatever the rights and wrongs of war, children
are always the innocent victims so I am delighted to be able
to make this small contribution to a magnificent project
that I hope goes a long way to alleviating some of the pain
and suffering," says Sir Paul McCartney.

Novels
Making Laws for Clouds
Nick Earls
"Once again Nick Earls is poignant, sharp, very funny
and sometimes achingly sad. Making Laws for Clouds gives
us the good times, shows us the bad, and – just like
Kane – looks to making something hopeful for the future." Making Laws for Clouds grew out of a story in Girls
Night In II, and Nick is donating part of its royalties
to War Child.
