Amy Lamoin
Amy Lamoin is a Human Rights Officer at the Anti-Discrimination
Commission Queensland. In her current role she works closely
with
people from diverse communities to enhance their civic capacity
and
their access to human and civil rights. She has a Bachelor
of Arts in
political science and sociology, an honours degree in women's
studies
and is currently completing her doctorate in the area of gender
and
human rights.
Andrea Martin
Andrea Martin is the Principal Financial Coordinator for
the Queensland Office of Fair Trading in the Department
of Tourism, Fair Trading and Wine Industry Development.
Anthony Hopcraft
Bea Duffield
Born on Thursday Island, Bea Duffield now lives in Brisbane
and has a
Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree, a PhD in microbiology
and various
management qualifications picked up over the years. She
has worked as a
research scientist, science policy strategist, technology
manager,
business
professional and communications skills consultant in Australia,
Asia,
United
States, Canada and UK. Bea presently works in science infrastructure
planning. Bea's particular interest is science futuring
- exploring the
possible impacts of present and future technologies on
our environment,
societies, lifestyles and culture. Her techno-thriller
Deception was published recently.
Bridie Riordan
Bridie Riordan is a Senior Publicist in the Marketing Department at Penguin
Group Australia. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and History) from
the University of Melbourne and is currently completing part-time a Master
of Arts (Communication) at RMIT University.
Clare Mirabello
Clare Mirabello is a Partner in the Entertainment and Media
Division of TressCox.
Clare has a Bachelor or Arts (History) and Bachelor of Laws
from the University of New South Wales. She acts for Australian
film producers, writers and investors in film and television
and with others involved in the Arts.

Emma Talbot
Emma Talbot is a commercial lawyer at TressCox Lawyers. Emma has a
Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Journalism) and a Bachelor of Laws
(Hons) from the University of Technology in Sydney.
Erin Wamala
Erin Wamala graduated from the University
of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Education and is currently
undertaking a Post Graduate Diploma of Publishing and Editing
at RMIT. Erin was the Schools' Program Coordintor for The
Age Melbourne Writers' Festival in 2004 and is currently
the National Education Consultant for Penguin Books.
Gillian Gallagher
Gillian holds a BA from the Univesity of Western Australia. She currently works in the WA
Department of Premier and Cabinet as a Communications Coordinator. Previously Gillian has worked in the UK as a Marketing and Fundraising
Director for UNICEF, and in a variety of roles with the British Heart Foundation, the Harold MacMillan Foundation and the British Film Institute.

Joanna Francis
Joanna was War Child Australia's first field
worker, working in Herat Afghanistan for a year from
November 2002. Joanna holds a Bachelor of Arts from the
University of Melbourne, majoring in Criminology.
Katie Greenwood
Katie Greenwood has a background in education having graduated
from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Arts
and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education. Since moving out
of the classroom five years ago, Katie has worked for Australian
Red Cross, initially in Youth Services Management and currently
in Fundraising and Event Management.
Melanie Kettle
Mel Kettle has nearly 15 years experience of working in the private and
government sectors delivering exciting and challenging marketing,
communication, media and strategic planning projects. In July 2006 Mel
established her own business, Mel Kettle Consulting, providing comprehensive
marketing communication services (including public relations, event
management, corporate communications and change management) for corporate
and government clients. Mel's education includes a Bachelor of Arts
(Tourism) and a Master of Business (Marketing).
Natalie James
Natalie Martin
Natalie Martin has a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor
of Education. She currently works as an environmental education
officer for the Brisbane City Council. She has volunteered
for several other organisations such as World Vision, Soroptimist
International, The Wilderness Society and an orangutan rehabilitation
centre in Borneo.
Nick Earls
Nick Earls was born in Northern Ireland and moved to Australia at the age of eight. He went on to study Medicine at the University of Queensland, but is better known as an author. His thirteen books include bestsellers such as Zigzag Street, Bachelor Kisses and Perfect Skin, and award-winning YA novels such as 48 Shades of Brown. Five of his novels have become plays, and two have been adapted into feature films. His latest novel, The True Story of Butterfish, is the first that he has written simultaneously as a play.
Nick contributed to Girls' Night In and Girls' Night In 2, and co-edited Big Night Out, Girls' Night In 4, Kids' Night In and Kids' Night In 2. His novel Making Laws for Clouds grew from his story in Girls’ Night In.
Nick was the founding Chair of War Child Australia, a position he held until April 2006. Nick is now an ambassador of War Child Australia.
Sarah Garvey
Sarah Garvey has held a variety of legal policy and management
positions within the Queensland public sector since 1990 and is
currently working in a fair trading policy role. Sarah was a founding
member of the War Child Australia Management Committee and is
currently part of the Queensland-based WCA team. Sarah has a law
degree (LLB) and an Arts degree (majoring in economics) from the
University of Queensland.
Shaun Ford
Shaun Ford is Managing Director of OnlineBiZ Pty Ltd and
Action International Design Pty Ltd which deals with business
marketing and development of SME's currently in 19 countries
around the globe.
Jamie Price
Jamie Price works as a clinical haematologist at Perth's Princess Margaret
Hospital for children and in private pathology practice at Western
Diagnostic Pathology.
Rachel Saunders
Rebecca Sparrow
Rebecca Sparrow was born in Brisbane, Australia. Graduating with a Bachelor of Business Communications) from the Queensland University of Technology in 1993, Rebecca spent several years working in PR and Marketing for a range of organisations including Australian Red Cross, Flight Centre Ltd, the Nine Network and Britain's Millennium Commission.
From 1997-1999 she worked as a feature writer and then editor of Australia's then largest travel magazine, TRIPS. Her first novel, The Girl Most Likely, was published in 2003 and was joint winner of One Book, One Brisbane. It is currently in production with Shanahan-Icon to be turned into a feature film. Her second novel, The Year Nick McGowan Came To Stay, was released in May 2006 and debuted as a stage play at La Boite Theatre in 2007. Her third novel, Joel And Cat Set The Story Straight, was co-written with Nick Earls. Rebecca has been a member of War Child Australia since its inception in 2002. She also writes a weekly column for The Sunday Mail.
